dc.description.abstract The thesis deals with the role of Vocational Education as a driver for innovation. In particular, the constituent elements of Vocational Education are analysed also in relationship to theories of innovation generation and learning. A section is devoted to present and analyse the major models of Vocational Education, focusing mainly on Italy, Germany and the United States. Vocational Education is then observed under peculiar experiences in these countries. Final conclusions are drawn on the best policies for Vocational Education. it_IT
