dc.description.abstract The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze the consequences of innovation in tourism and its impact on human resources management. In particular, the first chapter is dedicated to an overview of the tourism and hospitality industry whereby the main drivers of change, globalization and digitization are analyzed. Subsequently, the importance of human resources is described in a context where contemporary management considers human assets the main factor of competitive advantage. The emergence of new practices and trends are illustrated such as the notable transformation in perceiving the role of the HR department. Finally, conclusions are drawn and a presentation of the company Valamar Riviera as an example of this phenomenon is described. it_IT
