dc.description.abstract In the filmic adaptation of Alan Bennett's novel "The Lady in the Van" three different disruptions intervene to translate the creative process the author has experienced. Being present in the literary text as well, a close comparison between the two works will enlighten analogies and dissimilarities. The temporal disruption translates the episodic structure of the memoir; the doubling of the Self embodies two distinct phases of the writing process, experience and elaboration; through the "disruption of reality”, various elements cooperate to make a story that truly happened unbelievable. Also, I am going to analyse how each of these manipulations aim to actively engage the reader/viewer. it_IT
